Bit cheeky this, seeing as I don't actually get custody of it until Saturday....

Basically what happened was I bought a red 1988 2CV6 Special off of Louise Bastock in North Wales back at the end of January, intending to slam the living bejesus out of it and rip round in it for the summer, before selling it on and buying an Ami. Meanwhile my compadre and fellow COCK/I2F member Spanners bought this slammed 1987 2CV6 Special 'Bamboo' edition off Russ Higgs down in Kent.
After a few weeks though, Spanners, who also owns a tasty 2CV6 road-legal racecar, decided that one slammed 2CV was enough and hankered after a nice standard one. Meanwhile I was happy with my purchase, but reticent to start chopping it about as it's a really nice car.
So, a plan was formed......which will come to fruition on Saturday.

Russ had the graffiti done on some spare doors......the stock green ones will be going back on it as I'm 45, and not a fan....Spanners has enough of the correct 'Atomic Snot' green to blow the wings in so that it'll be all back to one colour. I've got another roof to go on it, the jury's out wether it gets left green long-term, or rollered satin black/lead oxide. I'm actually leaning towards masking off some flames or scallops on the front end first, which will stay green.
The car itself is one of the most well-known dropped Snails in the UK. It's been properly lowered with the correct camber-corrected front suspension arms, and has custom powder-coated engine tinware:

It's erm....low. The chassis bears many scars as testimony to how low....... ;D

And it has the best windscreen washers ever.

I can't freakin' wait to get my paws on it, at which stage I'll do some suitable photography.
