YO. Here is my current collection of automotive mediocrity. Nothing here that is bowel-shatteringly rare/cool/desirable, for which I offer no apology whatsoever. Firstly this is my '92 BMW 318iS, currently resting hopefully back in action in the next few weeks. ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v507/pogweasel/bmw.jpg) Next my '79 Austin Maxi 1750 HLS ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v507/pogweasel/maxi.jpg) It is beige. It also has a twin carb'd engine and a 5 speed box, great for hustling on the motorway. It aslo has a brown velour interior, less than 40k on the clock and saggy suspension. Next day I have free when my tame mechanics is open I am gonna get it pumped back up and get to blatting about in it. And we all have to get about when our good toys are broken, so behold my '05 Renault Van: ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v507/pogweasel/Image000.jpg) Thrashy, moderately uncomfortable and with worryingly wobbly roadholding, it is also indestructible, I have done 20,000 miles in this and nothing has broken or fallen off despite motorway caning, hardcore off-roading and mountaineering. Restecp. L8RZ, gang!

It is almost impossible to maintain travel in your desired direction on flat hydrospastic. Really unpleasant.
Plus when the refurbishment is complete I would like to sell it to some beardy BL pervert and invest the money in something less sensible.

great for hustling on the motorway Not the first sentence I would have attributed to a Maxi. Awesome colour though.

saylam the van you nutter That is never, ever going to happen. High ground clearance & skinny tyres mean that the little van has merrily skipped through floods, snow and traversed many mountain tracks with not a hint of bother all throught the winter. can the maxi hustle blx crab or wot? ;D Yes. I can has moar power.
